Final outcome photos on the mannequin

My final design sketch and close ups of my design. More photos on the body are below.

3D accessories piece

This design sheet is showing my final design I made for my 3D project 'Eat'. The propsal was to design wearable objects and accessories that are seductive and celebrate the act of eating. I researched into festivals where food is a big part of the experience and created small, biscuit sized gingham boxes. They expressed the act of sharing food and they were worn around the neck, on the chest.

Lamintate Dress

I am not one to work with ordinary materials as shown so far, I love experimenting with unusual materials. This dress is made by laminated pieces (a thick layer of glue with papers and mesh in between) gathered, stitched and shaped.

Batiqué Samples

These Batiqué samples were to develop the pieces to work with for my dress.

Batiqué Dress

This dress is made from seperate batiqué pieces (as shown in the post above). Hand sewn onto calico and fitted onto the mannequin. I love manipulating and working with materials which helps a lot in the Fashion industry.

Screen Printed Canvas

My screen print design; I overlapped and layered my prints and experimented with colour.

Textiles Final Piece

My textiles piece created using screen printing. I screen printed 3 different types of rows of houses, cut them up, layered them and cut windows out so other colours showed through. This piece shows my love for fabrics, and textile techniques which I can easily incooporate into my fashion designs.
